Dietmar Kohl
Head of Corporate Finance M&A Hamburg
Dietmar Kohl has worked in the Corporate Finance / M&A division since 1999. He joined the M&A team at DZ BANK in January 2013 and has been responsible for the Food & Beverage and Transport & Logistics sectors since then. Dietmar has advised on numerous national and international transactions in a wide range of industries for over twenty years.
Before joining DZ BANK, Dietmar Kohl worked for several years in Investment Banking / M&A at BNP Paribas and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein as well as in Corporate Finance / M&A at the former HSH Nordbank.
Dietmar Kohl holds a degree in engineering and studied industrial engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig and the Technical University of Berlin. As part of his studies, Dietmar Kohl also spent two years at the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris, where he obtained the "Diplôme d'Ingénieur" degree.
Jogging in the forest, skiing in the Alps and spending cosy hours with his family are among Dietmar Kohl's great passions.
Sebastian Braun
Vice President M&A
Sebastian Braun has been part of the Hamburg team in the Corporate Finance / M&A department since 2017 and has advised on numerous mandates in the industrial, energy, retail, business services and pharmaceutical sectors, among others. He is also responsible for the company valuation module of DZ Planner, a web-based application for analysing, planning and presenting performance data.
Before joining DZ BANK, Sebastian Braun gained work experience in the automotive industry at Daimler and in the pharmaceutical industry at Roche Holding. His first positions in M&A consulting led him to Oaklins and Acxit Capital. Sebastian Braun completed his B.Sc. in Global Business at the University of Augsburg with stays abroad in San Diego, USA and London, England.
Sebastian Braun is a keen sportsman and enjoys spending his free time cycling, hiking or skiing in the foothills of the Alps in his home region of Upper Bavaria.
